Putin Extends Warm Wishes to Kim on North Korea’s 75th Anniversary

“I am convinced that thanks to our joint efforts we will continue to strengthen… bilateral ties on all fronts”, Putin said in a message to Kim.

 

In a heartening gesture, Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed his heartfelt greetings to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the country’s 75th anniversary. Through a message from the Kremlin, Putin extended his warm wishes and called for the strengthening of bilateral relations on all fronts.

Putin, reflecting on the historical ties between Russia and North Korea, acknowledged that the Soviet Union was the first country to recognize North Korean sovereignty.
