Apple has officially confirmed iPhone 15 launch date, and the event is scheduled to take place in India on September 12th at 10:30 PM. This means that we are just about 9 days away from the announcement. Let’s take a closer look at the leaked specs, design, and expected prices for the upcoming iPhone 15 models.
iPhone 15 Launch in 9 Days: Expected Price
Rumors suggest that the starting price of the iPhone 15 in the United States will be $799, which is similar to the price of the previous model. Converting this to Indian Rupees at an approximate rate of 100 Rupees per dollar and considering the pricing trends of the iPhone 14 series, users can expect the base model of the iPhone 15 to start at around ₹79,900. While Apple has maintained the standard model’s price since the iPhone 13, a slight increase in pricing is possible. However, as there is no official confirmation yet, users should approach these details with caution.
Similarly, according to leaks, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models will not be available at the old prices. The iPhone 15 Pro is rumored to be priced at $1,099, which is higher than the last year’s model priced at $999. Therefore, Apple may launch the Pro model in India at ₹1,39,900 since the company generally sets its prices at a rate of 100 Rupees per dollar.
In the leak, it is also claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be presented at $1,299, which is higher than the price of the previous year’s model at $1,099. In India, Apple could announce the new Pro Max model at ₹1,59,900. However, these prices are not official yet, so users should wait for a few more days to know the exact prices.
iPhone 15: Expected Design
It is said that all iPhone 15 models will come with Apple’s innovative Dynamic Island Notch and a significant rumor suggests a shift from the Lightning port to a USB Type-C port, replacing the current design element.
Rumors also claim that the iPhone 15 Pro model will feature much slimmer bezels compared to its iPhone 14 Pro counterparts. Notably, it is expected to maintain its sleek form factor with smooth, curved edges. Additionally, Apple is reportedly planning significant changes for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, with a transition from stainless steel to a titanium side frame.
iPhone 15, Plus Pro, Pro Max: Leaked Upgrades and Specs
Expect the design of the iPhone 15 series to remain similar to its predecessors, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. It is anticipated that all devices will retain the same display sizes as before. Standard and Pro models are expected to have a 6.1-inch screen, while the Plus and Pro Max models might sport a 6.7-inch OLED display.
You can expect the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max to feature the new A17 chipset, rumored to be the first A-series Apple chip on a 3-nanometer process. The other two models might stick with the A16 chip beneath the hood.
It is said that the standard iPhone 15 model will have a 48-megapixel rear camera similar to the iPhone 14 Pro model. The Pro Max variant may incorporate a periscope lens for up to 5-6x optical zoom, while the iPhone 15 Pro may not feature this capability. The iPhone 15 Pro could retain the 3x optical zoom seen in the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Additionally, an advanced rear-camera LiDAR scanner from Sony might be included in units for enhanced depth-sensing capabilities.
Apple is reportedly exploring enhancements to the mute switch as well. The latest iOS beta version features a new feature that will enable users to control various functions, including silent mode, flashlight, focus mode, and even access the Translate app and Magnifier within the iPhone’s camera app.
Leaked information also suggests that the upcoming iPhone 15 series will have larger batteries. The standard version could come with a 3,877mAh battery, which is larger than the 3,279mAh unit in the iPhone 14. The iPhone 15 Pro might house a 3,650mAh battery, larger than the current model’s 3,200mAh unit. The iPhone 15 Pro Max may feature a 4,852mAh battery, surpassing the 4,323mAh battery in the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Finally, both the Pro and standard models might support fast charging up to 35W, providing users with significant convenience. However, Apple has not yet confirmed this improvement.
